Here are a couple of pictures of last nights conjunction just after dark. These were taken shortly before 6:00 PM. Just after 6:00 the clouds started to roll in. It was really a cool site to see. I hope you were able to get out and see it.

The Moon, Venus, and Jupiter came together tonight to form a close triangle in the southern sky just before sunset. All three were visible through binoculars well before the sun set. A couple of quick pictures of the Cresent Moon and Venus tonight from the backyard. The Moon is beautiful. Venus is more to the Southwest and higher in the sky tonight.

Because of the amount of clouds yesterday afternoon I did not feel like pulling out my big scope just to be disappointed by another cloudy evening so I just hung out on the deck with the binoculars from about 9:00 PM to 10:20 PM.
