<p>The finder scope on the C8 is nice, the magnification helps you find objects and get them centered in your scope easily. What I needed as a way to get a point of reference when not looking through the finder scope. That&#8217;s where this pointer comes in handy.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.kqzyfj.com/click-3172234-10514499?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.telescope.com%2Fcontrol%2Fproduct%2F%7Ecategory_id%3D%2F%7Epcategory%3D%2F%7Eproduct_id%3D24780%3Fid%3Dcjdf&amp;cjsku=24780" target="_top"><img src="http://content.telescope.com/rsc/img/catalog//product/vl/A24780vln.jpg" border="0" alt="Orion SkyLine Deluxe Green Laser Pointer with Telescope Bracket" /></a><br />
<img src="http://www.tqlkg.com/image-3172234-10514499" border="0" alt="" width="1" height="1" /></p>
<p>The pointer was very useful in helping me quickly get a rough polar alignment.  I used the laser pointer through the sight tube on the polar axis to dial in a rough polar alignment.  Worked like a charm.</p>
<p>It also comes in handy when try to point stars and constellations out to the kids.  It gives a bright green beam that seems to go all the way to what you are pointing out.</p>
<p>Even after just a couple of uses the <a href="http://www.kqzyfj.com/click-3172234-10514499?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.telescope.com%2Fcontrol%2Fproduct%2F%7Ecategory_id%3D%2F%7Epcategory%3D%2F%7Eproduct_id%3D24780%3Fid%3Dcjdf&amp;amp;cjsku=24780">SkyLine Laser Pointer and Bracket</a> was well worth the investment.</p>
